Frequently Asked Questions

It's totally natural to have questions about a shoot, like turnaround times, how getting proofs works, how to select your images, how to communicate with me in case you need something edited, etc. So I've compiled some of the more common questions I've recieved or even had myself into the list below. And as always if something is not listed here you can always reach out to via email at crystalcapturesphotog@gmail.com and I'll answer them as soon as possible.

  • How long does it take to get proofs back?
  • I usually get proofs out to everyone anywhere from 12-72 hours after the photoshoot, I send them out in the order everyone was photographed as they get uploaded onto the Galleries. If I have a show or competition myself and it will take longer then you will be advised of this ahead of time or the day of, but it will never take longer than 5 days.
  • How long do edits take?
  • Editing can take me anywhere from a week to 3 weeks depending on how long my editing queue is. Photos against a white backdrop take more time to edit and get situated than against a black or colored background due to how much white affects skin and clothing tones. So especially in these instances it may take me twice as long to get a set of 10 photos edited versus with a background that causes less fluctuation.
  • What happens if I am running late to my allotted photoshoot time?
  • Unfortunately if you are running late and fail to show up on time then you will forfeit that time you missed during your shoot, because slots are scheduled back to back with no breaks in between them I cannot give you extra time. This is why it is advisable to arrive early to warm up at the studio, venue, or location of the photoshoot.
  • Will you come to my studio for photoshoots, it's x hours away from you?
  • Yes! I absolutely love to travel and do shoots and get to meet new friends and visit other pole and aerial studios. While I do adjust pricing for locations I have to travel a day or more to, I don't ever mind traveling for studio shoots, location shoots, or shows.
  • Can I strip down to pasties or be nude in some shots?
  • Yes you can strip down into a little as you are comfortable with. Any photos with pasties will not be shared on my social media channels without getting additional consent beyond your initial photo release as well, and will never share nude shots. However you can post and share them as you see fit including for your own financial gain later.
  • What happens if I need to cancel my shoot last minute?
  • Emergencies do happen and I completely understand, cancellations up to 7 days out from your photoshoot will be eligible for a full refund, photoshoots within 7 days of the photoshoot will incur an inconvenience fee of $50 of the photoshoot cost due to the difficulty in filling that space at the last minute.
  • Can I shoot on multiple different apparatuses during my shoot?
  • Yes absolutely, if there is time for it then you can shoot on as many as you would like, this is easier in some venues versus in others due to the rigging situations, but studios do have the option to negotiate longer time slots on a sliding scale fee for their members to accomodate this .
